Venue and accommodation

The Seminar will be held in Kuşadası, a coastal city in the Aegean coast of Turkey, province of Aydın. Kuşadası is located 90 km south of Izmir, which has an international airport with flight connections not only to Istanbul or Ankar, but to several European destinations. The city is near to the ancient city of Ephesus and other interesting cultural sites. Aydın province has a contrasting environment, dominated by a Mediterranean climate. The rich plain of Menderes river is an intensively cropped area, and it is surrounded North and South by mountain ranges where pastoral flocks graze in scrublands and wooded rangelands.

The Seminar session will be held at the Odelia Resort Hotel in Kusadasi city. Accommodation at this hotel will be offered at convenient rates for the Seminar participants (75€ single room, 100 € double, 135 € triple, all including full board); participants not accommodatin in this hotel must pay 50 € per day for the Seminar lunches and coffe breaks. Information on transportation from Izmir airport to Kusadasi:

Taxi (cost around 50-55 € for a 4 places car, 80-90 € for a van). Although you will be able to find taxis at the exit of the airport terminal, you can also hire the service in advance through different web services, so that you pay a fixed price and you ensure your transfer (especially for those of you arriving late in the night).

Havas company has daily frequent services from the Adnan Menderes Airport of Izmir to Kusadasi:

Passengers can get on a shuttle at the exit of the domestic/international terminals arrivals floor.

Trip to Kusadasi will take around 1.5 hours and the cost is 380 Turkish lira (approximately 10 Euro).

There is a bus stop close to the Hotel Odelia (venue), when getting to the bus please ask the driver to stop there.
